STEP OF THE MONTH
Continuing the beautiful change we see in ourselves is a very difficult task. This requires patience and diligence, as change cannot be instantaneous—it must be progressive and continuous. This requires us to be introspective; to admit when we are at fault and to correct our wrongs. By becoming more self-reflective, we become capable of recognizing patterns we may have, and will be more apt to apologize quickly for our wrongs. Rather than guarding our pride and stubbornness, we begin to recognize when we have hurt someone, and put their feelings before our egos.
This is how we continue to replenish our cycle of change; this is the momentum to building our characters once again. Through this active character rebuilding, it becomes possible to see our true character in the light of selflessness. As we did in Step 5, we admitted our wrongs to another human being. Now it is our turn to keep track or the wrongs we have made, and hold ourselves fully accountable for our actions.
